I have recently bought a pair of Roth Oli 4 floorstanders (200 watt, 8 ohm) and now thinking about buying the Denon DF-107 DAB. (after reading positive reviews all over the net)
a) I have read the Denon is 4 Ohm, can this be true? - elsewhere I have read that you cannot get 4 ohm amps. b) if the amp is 4 ohm, can I wire my 8 ohm Roth's? if so, how would I go about doing it. c) Is the Denon DF-107 DAB "man enough" to drive floor-standers even though it can pump out 65 rms per channel? Many thanks. |

If you pull up the specs on the Denon website, it confirms 4Ohm outputs and gives no figures for 6 or 8 ohms.
It may still work, but I'd give one a try before buying to see how well it can drive your floorstanders.
