View Full Version : Which consoles have you owned?
Ive always been a bit of a gamer, well up until the last couple of years at least.Although I`m not a fanatic,I have always owned a console since my first Atari.I was just wondering what everyone else has owned at one stage or another.
Mine are as follows:
Atari 2600
Nintendo Entertainment System
Super Nintendo Entertainment System
Nintendo Gameboy
Sony Playstation
Sony Playstation 2.
I still own the PS2,but I still have a couple of games I got as presents in Christmas 2003 still in their wrappers so its been a bit neglected recently

Only consoles I've ever owned are a Game Boy Advance and a Game Boy Advance SP. Sold the former to upgrade to the later.
As a kid, went through lots of computers for games though:
Sinclair ZX Spectrum (owned for about 2 weeks - returned to shop)
Sinclair ZX 81 (a mate wanted to give me this in exchange for a Barbarian poster I had featuring Maria Whittaker - I found it hard to say no  )
Commodore 64 (loved it, still got it!)
MSX (forget which one, owned it for about a week - returned to shop)
Acorn Electron (owned it for about a year or two, then sold it on)
Also owned lots of individual gaming units, e.g. various Nintendo Game & Watch thingies, that Firefox game with the cool screen and joystick :D~:-D~ and several others that I can't remember :(

Atari (of some description) - donated this to charity when I was about 6.
Commodore 64 - I either donated this to charity again or I sold it, I can't remember which.
NES - I still have this in my bedroom right now, in perfect working order, with all original (working) accessories including what would appear to be a rather unusual Light Gun for playing a game called 'Duck Hunting' which I own. Superb console which I can still set up and enjoy playing today
Master System - Again I have this in perfect working order upstairs as I type. Not my favourite console by any means but worth owning for the original Alex The Kid games and Sonic games
Mega Drive - Again, upstairs, FWO. Brilliant catalogue of games, most of which I own, superb console.
Playstation - has the capacity to be my favourite console whilst at the same time the console I most want to destroy! Again, upstairs, FWO, pristine condition, but annoyingly it seemingly couldn't process a few games fast enough to keep up a playable framerate.
PS2 - my newest console, but I'm embarassed to say it's absolutely destroyed after I stumbled home one day in a (very) drunken state, tripped over the control cable and it came tumbling down from the top of my equipment rack (along with my expensive JVC SVHS VCR), neither of which work anymore - almost £400's investement gone to waste :( .
