I was just about to order SKY+, glad I saw this first!

It doesn't matter - as they say in the article the new costings will apply to existing subscribers as well.
EDIT: In fact, I'm glad I got mine installed last week. They have already waived the £10 Sky+ fee as I have a second subscription, and installation of both boxes was free. The new deal costs £50/60 for installation, so you'd be better off getting the current deal and paying £15 per month for the second sub until the new £10 pm payment comes into effect in October.

Anyone know if you must have 2 satallite connections? or can you use one and only record/watch the same thing?
I have a communal dish and only 1 connection to my flat.

The other day there was a problem with my second signal input while the first one was still working. I could view live TV, and play back a recording, but any attempt to record anything produced a "Failed" in the planner.

Oh well, that link has just cost me another 200 notes..seeing as they've waived the £10 SKY+ fee then it'd be rude not to upgrade to SKY+.
Just a quickie for anyone who's had it installed..does it come with a digital cable or have I got to dig through my box of spares in the garage ?

Ah well, had SKY+ installed today..sort of anyway..I was at work & 'er indoors was here to wait for the SKY installer..
Long and short of it is
1) No remote control in the box..he did tell her about this & gave us his "demo" unit..no batteries though..gonna drop a new one round tomorrow.
2) When I got home, found that he'd used the existing power cable from the original SKY box..so I cant relocate this one, and he'd used the existing phone cable..Rang SKY & played holy "F", and they promised to sort it out tomorrow..after speaking to 3 different people/departments & threatening to cancel my CC payment & SKY subscription.
Im really starting to lose my patience with anything remotely AV related..first my Tosh TV, and now SKY..whats next ?? :x~:-x~

Fair Dues to the SKY installer..he was banging on my door at 8.30am this morning :o~:-o~ with a new remote control & batteries, power lead, phone line, RF lead & crappy scarts. Full of apologies as to why he had not left them in the first place..As I said previously, I wasnt here when he did the install, so I dont know if they were in the box or not, just know that there was no remote in the box.
Dont need the remote anyway as I'd already added a new panel to my Pronto for the SKY+ functions, but thats not the point is it. :P~:-P~
