Just a quick question for you guys in the know, how do these 2 champ copare for music and movies?
I have the 32r an 596 and while they sound great together, its just not going to work out, I really want to stay tag but moving on the meridian is proving difficult so im trying to open up my optons with a change of processor.
The 32r i have has the 193kh dacc and, it would be just a vanila 568.
Cheers

How much is the upgrade from 192kHz DACs? ;)~;-)~
Sorry, dont have any actual experiences of the 568 so cant compare, but from what I have read i'd like to give Trifield a go.. preferably in a G68 :)~:-)~

Lee.
It has long been my opinion that the 568's have the edge over the TAG AVR32's. Yes, you could accuse me of bias & some people will, but i have always thought the Meridian makes the best dual purpose unit....ie music & movies.
Trifield is blistering in ability to create a terrific multichannel soundfield from a CD.
Basically, the Meridian made a bigger impression on me than the TAG did. Having a Meridian DVD player helped. (MHR etc)
Obviously, things have moved on for both companies.
TAG DP & 568.2 with new G series processor too.
In the humble opinion of Adzman, a Meridian 568 has the edge over a fully loaded AVR32, (remember - dual purpose: music & movies) with Trifield being the ace in the pack.
The TAG's are more flexible.

The dual-SHARC version of the Tag AV32R is comparable with the 568.2 or 568.2mm. The single processor version is not.
