View Full Version : Broken XBox360 and Microsoft's customer service

Or, to put it another way, why can't every company have customer service like this
Last week my 360 died on me. It was overheating and shutting down. So I phoned them up and they picked it up a day later (Wednesday). Thursday, they sent me an email saying they'd received it. Friday: I got an email saying a new console had been sent to me. Today: I receive a brand new machine, complete with new HDD and PSU.
With service like that, I really can't fault Microsoft or the Xbox team
That is good indeed.
My brother couldn't wait that long so he took his back to John Lewis and they swapped it on the spot
Did you keep your hard drive? So you now have a spare?
Im concerned that at some point mine will go tits up as we both bough ours at the same time.

I couldn't send it back to my retailer as it was a launch machine. He did say he'd help if Microsoft wouldn't take it back. They were really good though and replaced it without any questions
I had to send my HDD back...and they sent me a new one :( I had my Xbox Live profile saved on a memory card though, and MOST (but certainly not all) of my game saves were backed up a few weeks ago. I've lost loads of progress though. I also have to re-rip all my CD again though. I had close to 70 albums on my 360 and they're all gone :(

Yep, an excellent service by microsoft  . Sent mine back on a monday and got it back on the following thursday.
Never sent them the harddrive though as i was told over the phone that they didn't need it, just the 360 and psu.
That was nearly a month ago now and to date no crashes(touch wood)

I'm starting to realise that I know a lot of people who have sent their 360 back...and yet I'm the only numpty who sent the HDD back with the console :(
