Okay, seeing as I've had my Pio 656 for a while now & there hasnt been much in the way of SACD or DVD-A to interest me I havent bothered getting any MORE cables to add to the jungle at the back of my rack..but October sees the release of the mighty Iron Maiden releasing their new Dance Of Death album on DVD-A.
Question is..how much should I be spending on 6 RCA leads to go from my 656 to my Denon 2802..and is the Pioneer/Denon combo gonna do DVD-A justice ?
Recommendations please.. :?~:-?~:???:
And how much of in improvement over the normal CD mix should I be expecting ?

Hi John,
Your system will definately do it justice. The Denon does a great job at it's price point while the Pioneer 656 offers mental performance for the money. First time I got my hands on one and felt how light it was, I really thought it was going to be rubbish when I fired up my system.
How wrong I was.
It's a little stunner so give it some quality cables.
There are plenty on the market.

Software production is such a varied thing. What differences you hear will very much depend on what's spinning in the player. Suffice, to say there are some awfull recordings out there and there are some stunners.
Have to tell you though, the very best multi channel recordings are mind numbingly good.

I'd suggest Ecosse Composer cables, very good quality and at a price that makes 3 pairs a reasonable purchase. Maybe worth looking at Scorpion Cables Audio Interconnects also.
