Can anyone recomend any quality flat cable to go for?
I`m looking for some that is no more than 25mm wide.
Cant be no more than 4mm thick. Preferably OFC.
And if possible something where i can terminate the ends though this is not a necesity. I think i`ll need around 15 meters to be on the safe side.
This cable is going under a carpet weather that needs to be taken into acount. Most of it tucked away out of side from the biggest danger of my A/V equipment " THE KILLER PUDDY KAT ".

IMO, Nordost SuperFlatline Gold MkII every time. If you only need 15m it's just about in the 'affordable' bracket rather than totally silly money.

Juboy - This looks like the kiddie thanks.
Because the cable is thin is there an importance in cutting a channel in the floor underneath the carpet. I can see the importance in it being if it was round. But because the Nordost is " Wafer Thin " is there any real need for this ?

It is unbelievably thin stuff. I have wooden floors so don't run it under carpet but I can't imagine you'd notice it if it were under carpet. It can't be much more than 1mm thick.

Well, most of the speakers will be ok as i can run the cable on the outside of the carpet next to the skirting board where no one ever put there feet. There is only one speaker where i would have to go straight across a room but i should imagine this cable is ok bent at 180 degrees. Which would solve the problem.

Ixos 607 is another one that would fit your spec. It's 1.5mm high, OFC and has a self-adhesive strip running down one side. Doesn't come with terminators though, you have to add those yourself. Obviously, depends on how much you wanted to spend on cable and what quality you wanted, but I thought I'd mention it anyway :)~:-)~

Sticking with the Nordost matey.
Have seen the Ixos in a couple of electronics catalogues. It looks ok but i`d rather pay for something with a bit more quality.

DNM Reson is quite flat, about 2mm high - I use it myself but I would imagine you would still need to cut a channel in the underlay. You definately wouldn't have to do this with the Nordost. Both are great speaker cables but the DNM has a very distinctive sound. What speakers will you be using?

With reference to the Nordost cable how thin is it. I had a look on the website and i the pdf docs ext but no actual thickness stated that i could see of.
Groundy using some speakers as below havent set them up yet as still in the box but i think they were 8M Ohm or maybe 12M Ohm. Everything i have is boxed up ready to move somewhere fairly shortly.

It literally is paper thin, less than 1mm maybe.

Bush or Alba since, in my experience, Bose will set the Bailiffs onto you to reclaim monies supposedly owed for products you never ordered, merely because you happen to have the same surname as someone else who ordered one of their products but defaulted on payments, and since they can no longer trace this person, you're the next best thing for them :x~:-x~

in the meantime I'll stick with my Sony (VA555ES) Tosh 36" tv, and 900 dvd, Paradigm servo-15, Velodyne, ATi power amp and Dynaudio speakers thanks

It seems like several people have been too kind to mention that juboy's proposed cable is far in excess of the systems' potential audio range and a waste of money. That is unless the cable is to be bought as a future proof upgrade. Let's hope that killer puddy does its damnedest.
Sorry...but had to..
