I recently bought a cdi blue ring mat http://www.ringmat.com/html/products/statmat/statmat.html
and will be testing it over the next few days.
Snake oil? We'll see.

Sounds interesting Eric. Has their website missed a trick by not making claims for enhanced DVD performance as well, or is this product intended solely for CDs?
Judging by how quick Russ Andrews was to point out that all his CD enhancing products would work equally well with DVD, you'd think they'd be on to that like a shot ;)~;-)~
Be very interested to read your results.

Juboy,
I actually met the owner of the company at the Heathrow show and he insisted that it also worked great on DVD.
Let's see.

I would be interested to hear if the added weight reduces disc-spin noise.

I'm going into the cave of the Bats later to have a listen to the Cdi blue and also have a look at the HS-10.

Ken,
While there were subtle hints with slightly more air in music, I have to say the differences were not as obvious as I would have liked. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting a 50% leap in quality just easier identification of the improvment which was not very clear at all.
In short, I felt this product wasn't really all that it was made up to be.

Cheers Eric! I just came across this and like a lot of other HC enthusiasts am always looking for improvements! I think I'll give this a miss
An improvement I DID find very good was an Olson Soundfantastic 8-way power bar! I don't konw if maybe my mains were perticularly bad but WOW I now get no hiss or hum on any equipment plugged in and the sound is noticably cleaner!
