Bare wire connection on amp...

My amp can't take banana plugs without modding and spades are pretty much a no no too (Yamaha amp :roll: ).

Can't I just tin my cables then?





Should I tin my cable or just leave it bare? (I'd of thought tinning would keep the ends nice and protected and keep them from fraying). Easier to come loose tinned though I guess (and maybe even corrode)...

I have the same problem.. with my onkyo amp.. I just use bare wire. Though I have just changed some of it to the solid core wire.. which is nice and easy to get in the amp as there is nothing to fray!

I just use bare wire in my yammy, tho it's best if you trim it by an inch every month or so...
