Ok, so who do you want to win?

Voted "Don't know/don't care". If i remember it's on, I'll watch for the scathing put downs, but never watch the music... It normally works out pretty well, since Pop Idol normally does their "put downs" when Fame Academy is doing the music, and vice versa.
Much channel hopping in my house ;)~;-)~
i voted for alex, but as long as one of the girls win, i don`t mind.
allister represents everything that is wrong with modern popular music. sanitised, smiling, and cute, with a very average voice.
alex is by far the most original artist left of the three, but even if she does win, i fear she`ll be swallowed up by the music industry machine, and end up being packaged to the masses,in an inoffensive, treacley way.

Got to be Alex, she's the only one with a bit of originality.

Fame Academy's obviously not a hit with the majority of AV Talkers
That said, I'm really looking forward to tonight's double bill final - the curry order's been placed and the wine's in the fridge

I have a night in tonight, good timing as I missed a lot of the shows over the last few weeks.
There may be a lot of votes for 'dont know/dont care' but they still clicked into this topic in the first place :)~:-)~

Carolynne out first.
I have a feeling Alistair might win, even though all the comments on the show give it to Alex.

Well we were right.. Alex won.
Some great performances by her tonight, especially 'Imagine'

Alistair did come across as a total 'makeweight' for the night once Carolynne had gone. I would have felt sorry for him were it not for the fact that in the long terms he'll be the one making tons of money from songwriting whilst I suspect Alex will do a 'Sneddon' and have a couple of hits, one album and then not be heard of again.
One question: whilst I prefer her to Alistair's Mr Bland routine, could you really listen to a whole album of 11 tracks of Alex's voice in one sitting?

Could you really listen to a whole album of 11 tracks of ANY of their voices? ;)~;-)~

I think it depends more about the music behind them. On the show they sing over some fairly non descript 'versions' of the songs they are performing - I assume so you concentrate on their singing. Ironically the judges (more so on pop idol) then call them karaoke singers.
If Alex produced some good music to go with her unique voice I think it could do well.
