Can anyone tell me why I get distortion on dialogue only when viewing video tapes using Pro Logic or Pro Logic 2. I have tried various vcrs and av amps with the same results. It is only present on dialogue and comes from the the front left and right speakers. Have also tried different speakers and high quality cabling. Present Setup is JVC HR7965 SVHS, Marantz SR4400 and Kef 2005.2 Eggs. Monster cables Ixos interconnects
Confused???

welcome to the forums :)~:-)~ make sure your centre speaker is set to small and is crossed over at 80hz in the amps setup menu. if this doesn't work try the centre as large and see if it cures it-it sounds like bleeding from the centre to l/r but as it's hapenning with more than one amp I'd experiment with the speaker settings.

Hi
Thanks Mariner. I have tried various speaker settings to no effect. I agree that the distortion seems to be bleed through from the centre. However the problem only occurs when watching video tapes. Does anyone have a solution or is this problem normal with VCR playback. If it is then it means watching videos in stereo only.
