Not sure if its already been said but tags site now has soft v4.10 for DP/AV192 to download which includes the promised height channel, and looks to be free too :o~:-o~  only downer i supose is the height channel only works from ES/EX tracks (if i read right) but i guess its another one for the DP owners :)~:-)~
Does it lose one of the surround back channel outputs in the process? Sure I've seen something along those lines somewhere! :?~:-?~:???:

Although it doesnt say, i think you will sort of lose one of the centre rears. But then if i have got it right, the centre rears are done with matrix to slpit the mono signal (from 6.1 to 7.1) for left an right centre? so you can have 6.1 with height (height worked out from front and rear centre) or still 7.1 with height (mono rear centre looped though 2 amps)
If that makes scense :?~:-?~:???:

How is this downloaded, i have had my Kef ci's installed for a couple of weeks now in anticipation, but when i click to download i am still getting the "software s still in certification process".
Indeed the height channel uses the left surround back channel. Tag may offer, (although it would be very easy to manufacture such a unit yourself) a "box" that will be fed by the left surround back channel (via RCA input) with two (RCA) outputs one to be connected to the surround back left power amplifier channel and the second to the height power ampifier channel. Via software version 4.10 when the height channel is engaged one action switch on rear panel will close and a supply (presumably) to a relay made to move contacts to the height channel amp, on disengaging the height channel the action switch opens drpping the supply to relay and reinstating connection to the surround back left channel amp.
The software as i understand it is quite elaborate as both time alignment, bass management and spl's must be catered for (as the channel will be independant to rear back).
Whether or not TMREQ will be available for this channel this early on remains to be seen.
I am quite looking forward to this.
PL2X also looks most interesting as a now (more or less) full time lover of THX2 processing on DD 5.1 dvd's (but not EX discs), i hope it performs as well with analoue signals.

V4.10 is still awaiting certification from Dolby (even though the website does indicate that it's now available). We'll have to wait a little longer I guess :(

4.10 isn't released yet and may end up being released after 4.20 (the one with PL2x). I only have a 5.1 AV32R-DP so neither the height channel or PL2x will effect me much!
4.10 or 4.20 are also required for communication from the TMREQ Wizard 2.0 to the AV32R so that you can send filter configurations straight from the PC to the AV32R.

All seems a bit odd really, but at least for me its just curiosity :)~:-)~ it would just be nice if they could just make up their minds if its out or not :?~:-?~:???:
