Brought this at the weekend and not a bad game, although i thought it was like Colin Mcrae games where you do a propre championship mode with timed stages etc...

Graphics and games play are ok, although theres no real realism to it like damage to the car etc which would effect gameplay.

Still havent got round to getting the latest firware update for my console but before this game loaded for the first time it promte me this and let me download version 1.8 i think???

Was this pre-loaded on the console or the game.

I also notice a little interference of such through gameplay. First level tracks are ok but once i hit the second level, the game gets a little jumpy and was wondering if it were down to the disc or the machine.

Havnt expericenced any problems with Blurays or my other game????

Anyway, good enough game, but wish i had picked Colin McRae dirt now...Ah well!

He's absolutely right - if you're wanting realism, you're going to have to look elsewhere. SEGA are, and always have been, all about pure arcade gaming. And personally, I bless their little hearts for that.

I tried the demo of this - in the full version, do the cars still turn from the centre of their chassis? Hope that makes sense - in the demo, the cars didn't steer from the front wheels but rather as if they had a pair of castors about half way down their bodies. Very odd idea.

Agreed - the steering seemed all wrong to me, and I actually quite liked the original Sega Rally.

For each car you can select, there are two options. Off road which gives the car drifting like qualities, only the slightess tap of the controller needed.

The other is on road which allows the cars to hit faster acceleration and about an extra 10mph top speed but rock solid steering.

The majority of the course i have unlocked so far are either muddy, loose grael and ice, i have tried the on road option and its barely controllabe.

On the basis of Sega produceing arcade like games, i understand exactly where your coming from and i have indeed played the original.

Like i said, i got mixed up with it and Colin Mcrae but its still a good game non the less, bit dear mind you. £40 i think i paid :?~:-?~:???:

Interesting comments. I loved the original Sega Rally and also think the X360 version is superb. It's just such a laugh powersliding and bouncing around the tracks. It's also incredibly quick. :D~:-D~

Maybe they've tweaked the X360 version compared to the PS3 version?

The original Sega rally was the nuts. Loved winning it and getting the bonus track at the arcade
