hi, i have recently moved all of my hi fi etc into my rather small conservatory.
3m by 3m. i have a 3ft dwarf wall around the conservatory, side A consits of a sliding glass door taking up 2/3rds of side A, the final 3rd is a window and dwarf wall. Side B is just the dwarf wall and a full 3m of glass sat ontop. Side C is the same as B. Finally D the old outside wall is a french door and brick either side.
The roof is plastic poly carb.
Underlay and a very plush thick carpet on the floor. A large wool rug.
One corner couch.
Basicly as you can imagine due to the amount of glass and brick the sound is not great. I am about to buy curtains. I dont have a big budget so please bear this in mind. my question is mainly, if the pattern (the bit you see, and the bit the sound hits first) is of a certain material, is it worth backing this material with a thick, almost wooly backing or would it not matter as the sound does not hit this part first or would it actually hepp the sound.....all hard to explain but any help would be great. i just want a good idea on what to cover my glass with etc
