PS3 DTS-HD Master Audio Support

I installed firmware 2.30. I am unaware if this is a global update. However, DTS-HD Master Audio is now supported.



I can report that it works flawlessly. IMO, this may be the biggest PS3 news item yet.

Is this onboard decoding or bitstream? Can the PS3 bitstream HD?

The PS3 can not do bitstream of the HD audio formats, so the decoding is on-board.
