View Full Version : Source for high quality "figure 8" plugs

Anyone know of any? CPC and Maplin are okay, but I want the Wattgate equivalent of IEC 320 C7 plugs ("figure 8" plugs).
Surely there have to be better quality ones available than the 50p each jobs?

Did you ever find any of these, Stoomonster?
I had a look several times on the web and never came up with anything that really fits the bill. Surprising really, given how common these connectors are that no-one seems to have come up with a better quality version. Of course, RA provides converters from IEC to Fig 8, but these are not exactly high quality and are a compromise at best. :(

Stoo, Charlie, go here (http://www.audusa.com/main.htm) and check out connectors. Are you after that kind of thing?

Thanks for the link, gambit. I have a number of decent enough power cables that have been liberated by upgrades to Gordon's Umbilical. I was toying with the idea of re-terminating them with Fig 8 plugs and using them to improve some of my other components. ;)~;-)~
