View Full Version : Which interconnection cable is better?
15-11-2003, 03:12 PM
My system is:
CD player: Harman/Kardon HD750
Amplifier: NAD C320BEE
Speakers: B&W DM602 S3
Speaker cable: QED XT-400
Now I am wondering which interconnection cable I should be use for connecting my CD player and the Amplifier.
1: van den Hul The Bay C5
2: Monster Interlink IL400 MkII
Do anyone can give me some advice about which one is better? Or is there any other better choice for me to choose from while my budget maximum is £50?
Thx alot for all the advice~ ;)~;-)~

I don't think it makes much difference which you choose.
But you should have a look at the Scorpion cables in the powerbuy forum.
Not shure if he will ship to Hong Kong though :?~:-?~:???:

Of the two you mention I'd go for the Van Den Hul.
Having said that, there are better interconnects out there at that price. Look at Ecosse, DNM, Scorpion Cables and Supra.

I find it hard to hear any difference between similarly priced interconnects. In fact, I couldn't tell any difference at all between the £60 Kimber PBJ and the £250 KCAG in my Arcam/Dynaudio system.

Thx alot Godfather.
Today I ordered the Van Den Hul The Bay C5 interconnection cable at £32.99 with free delivery~
Days after I will receive it.
After I receive and run-in about it, then I will report back to tell it is good or not~
Thx alot for all the advice above~

Today in the morning I was waking uo by the postman, and finally I've got the C5 on my hand~!~
After a few hours of run-in, I discover that the clarity and resolution of the cable are so good~ :D~:-D~
Maybe the one I used days before are the one that come with my CD player, so the different are really so great! And the easiest thing to discover is the resistance and the noise of this cable are so much less then the one I used before it.
Although I am not a expert and not have a test on other stuff so much before, but I still recommand peoples to us it. For the price of £32.99, this is really worth to buy~
