It's on at 11pm and hopefully will be as enjoyable as the first time I saw it years back. Peter Davision is great in this and surrounded by sexually motivated and plain nuts colleagues.

This is the RT blurb:

A young doctor arrives to work in the surgery on a university campus whose staff are doing for the medical practice what Basil Fawlty did for the hotel trade. Dr Stephen Daker's enthusiasm knows no bounds - until he meets his new colleagues. But in the midst of despair, Stephen finds love.

Cast List

Peter Davison, Graham Crowden, David Troughton, Barbara Flynn, Amanda Hillwood

Just watched the first one and quite enjoyed it. Universities never change

Quite incredible really that Andrew Davies' bread and butter these days is mainly period adaptations for TV, when he's so good at comedies like Game On and Bridget Jones's Diary.

Gonna watch Episode 2 now :)~:-)~

Have to say I still really enjoyed it  It's one of the good things about good comedy dramas; they relate to people and don't age in the sense of how people socialise and internalise the world and so empathise.

I hope it gets a dvd release and wouldn't be surprised after B4's showing/plugging.

That University brought many memories back and looks rather like the one I went to.

Just saw that it is being released on dvd in a two disc flavour, so hopefully the quality will be ok, on January 26. Part of the trouble with a lot of the older shows ala 80s was there having plenty of current tunes and so then there's haggles over royalties and rights etc. But mercy prevails

I loved this series and have had the DVD on order for ages, it keeps being delayed  . The January date is supposed to be definite, thank goodness  .

I also recall there was a follow up series that was very disappointing, I cant remember what it was called :(
