But I'm in the progress of making my bedrom cinema in to a dedicated home cinema so I will have room for more shelves, and alot of Auralex 8)~8-)~

Just a couple of weeks ago I got two Ikea 'Amiral' shelf/bookcase units. One for DVDs and one for CDs, they are both practically full already though! Not usually an ikea man, but i've had my eye out for something that would hold all my discs for a while and these dont take up much room and are nice and simple.
Might take a photo of my own ones tonight.

Okay in all thier glory, here's my DIY effort
Yes I'm too lazy to take all the stuff out and paint the old wallpaper, heck it's easier just to buy more DVDs and CDs :D~:-D~

here's mine, I got it from some mail order firm... I forget the name, but the brochure came with a newspaper...they also sell some really dodgy retro hi-fi (alba kind of sh*te) with antique style casings for about 200 quid! blimey!
the case it nice (beech mdf colour), however, one of the shelves isn't quite the same distance as the rest (thus, the cd's don't fit properly, it's meant for CDs), and when their newer brochure came out, they didn't have the same colour model either!!

I have mine in a rather nice Mexican style bookshelf/cupboard thing that suits DVDs very well. Only thing is I've completely filled the thing and need another one :(

I have two of these:
Each one holds 50 DVDs on each shelf (two rows per shelf).
They are on either side of a sideboard that looks similar to this:
(slightly different handles and dimensions)
In each of the cupboards beneath the doors, I can fit 150 DVDs.
EDIT - Forgot to say what I use for CDs! I bought loads of these black boxes from Argos, which have two draws each and are stackable. Each box hold 50 CDs each (I think). They look bloody hideous  but do a good job of keeping the CDs safe.
I also have a cabinet in my bedroom which stores a few more CDs, and I've now started stacking CDs in the sitting room as well, on top of the sideboard that houses my DVDs.
CDs are more of a problem for me, storage wise, than DVDs actually! :(

Even though I have 2 of the ikea 'amiral' units i posted about further up in this thread. I was looking for something a bit neater, without the discs on show all the time...
This looks great, but I would need two just for my dvds and they come in at about 850 quid each :( Why does noone make reasonably prices space efficient storage for large numbers of discs?
