Am I really going to notice any difference in picture quality on my Panasonic AE300 by using the scorpion cables as opposed to these?

£100 difference is a lot of money for cabling.

I can only vouch for Paul's digital and analogue interconnects and can only say they are excellent. The digital cable in particular beat my previous Russ Andrews interconnect (a DV-75 cost now £163.00) despite costing £21!

Video cables are much more similar to digital interconnects and if you search around this and other forums you'll find that Belden cables (as used by Scorpion) are very well thought of, have a look at this thread (http://www.avtalk.co.uk/forum/index.php?t=msg&th=3945&start=0&rid=155&SQ=1075933 477) for example.

IMO they're excellent cables and good value, despite on the face of it costing a lot more that Maplin's - about which incidentally I've heard some problems.

I went from using Supra AV3 Component cables (rated as amonsgt the best by most of the mags) to Scorpion Cables and was quite surprised by the difference. Unlike audio cables where differences may be slight and difficult for mere mortals to objectively measure, re-calibrating my system with the Scorpion Cable in place clearly showed better colour saturation and sharper edges.

Andy, I'm thinking you probably spent around £1000 on your projector? Maybe another £1000 on DVD player and screen combined?

You really wanna connect them with £30's worth of cable? I suggest what would happen is that you'd always wonder whether you're really getting the best out of your gear and probably upgrade cables at some point in the near future anyway.

Top marks from me for Scorpion Cables as well. Been using them for a while now and they outperform the IXOS 1703 Component leads I had previously.
