Is there any significant advantage of using Y-Link cable compared with the regular ones? thx

It would seem there's no definitive answer. Some amp/sub combinations seem to perform better using a Y-splitter, on others it makes little to no difference. There's more info here (http://www.avtalk.co.uk/forum/index.php?t=msg&goto=9874&rid=20&SQ=1084459727#msg _9874)
What do U want 2 use it 4??
I've got one plugged into my Sub as it seems 2 make a difference 2 the output of the sub. But a large number of subs it will make no difference 2 at all.

Using a Y-splitter on my old b&w asw 2500 would give a 5db increase, but I don't think this would same for all subs.
It would also help the sub sense a signal quicker.
