Has anyone else been watching this? I watched the first episode out of curiosity as it is on after 24 and have watched every episode since. It's not realy my kind of thing but something about it keeps me watching. Maybe i'm just a sucker for a bit of visually slick television.

Yeah, wouldn't miss an episode. 8)~8-)~
Must be a Philly thing calling 'em " the do-er " , sounds a lot better in The Shield, " the perp " .
Some of the episodes are black and depressing, but I don't mind. It's quite melancholy seeing folks ageing in front of your eyes, to a nostalgic soundtrack.
Her rescued cats are cute ! :)~:-)~

I've seen several of them and usually get angered by their lack of following procedure enough and/or being all attitudinal and getting results. The way they brow beat the innocent so often in the name of the job and how this would in reality damage many of the interrogatees and result in firings and law suits. The writers obviously hate lawyers and/or actors portraying them as no one ever demands to have one or changes their mind as that would make them look guilty, cha! Then there's the way how most of the criminals end up going, "It's a fair cop gov'" and spilling all; when often it's one person's word over anothers'.
It was good to see Amber Benson hasn't slipped off the tv radar. The ending with the guy spilling all this week (yet again  ) to such flimsy evidence had me laughing out loud. His hair was on Benson's character, so what? He was dating her. In any case, the cigarette which that detective took was theft and would've acted to dismiss the case.
Without a Trace is another I watch but also has the above going down. Ironic how watching CSI etc. can lead the viewer to denounce what one sees.

C.S.I. have obtained DNA from a suspect in a public place and used it as evidence in several episodes. It wouldn't be theft unless it was obtained from a private place without a warrant.
Not that I am a criminalist !
Cold Case wouldn't have a show if everyone refused to help their investigations. It stretches credibility that everyone they meet is so forthcoming and helpful. They must want to go to prison !
I enjoy all the Jerry Bruckheimer shows, but they don't withstand thinking about them too much. 8)~8-)~

True about stepping down in the IQ. But the fag thing got me annoyed more as she stole it by swapping them and I hate people who ponse fags only to bum suck them :o~:-o~

I was beginning to think my attraction to this show was some how unhealthy and then I remembered my girlfriend watches Holyoaks and everything was good in the world again. Cold Case has it's flaws but for f**ks sake, at least the storyline changes every week and not every 6 months.

I think if you eximed every show as to it's correctness then most would have inconsistency and incorrect facts etc  . Still doesn't stop me from criticising shows I watch though about how they go something wrong
