In case anyone missed this, here is an interesting link to some objective tests of various speaker cables and their differing electrical characteristics. As to whether any of this is audible, I will reserve judgment... 8)~8-)~

Interesting reading, thanks for that :P~:-P~
It would be great if one of the better mags over here did a face off with cables that we're more used to seeing/using in the UK.

also to have some measurements with woven cable like kimber-which makes a difference for me.

Mmm, good point. A good read but there was nothing on interference rejection as RA/Kimber keep banging on about (I do like/use their stuff BTW).

I have to say, I have never been particularly convinced by RA/Kimber claims for RFI rejection in their speaker cables. Unless used in a spectacularly noisy RF environment, I can't imagine RFI being much of an issue at the signal levels typical in speaker cables. That is not to say that Kimber cables don't sound good, they do. But I think that has more to do with good termination and sensible L,C,R values than anything mystical in the weave. Unless someone cares to give us a technical explanation that might change my mind. :)~:-)~
RFI is much more of an issue with power cables and interconnects and there, Kimber weave construction does seem to work.
Thanks Charlie, interesting stuff. :)~:-)~
Nice that they present "the facts" as it were and try not to speak too conclusively of sound quality.
