I find it better to listen to movies with the DTS or Dolby digital than THX, IS that true about all systems?

some people prefer the sound without THX post processing-use whichever sounds best to you.

I tend to find that the THX processing on DD and DTS through the 2011 lacks a little 'sparkle' but there's not much in it to my ears.

Strangely I've heard that the MCACC Pioneers get as close to the sound of a THX mixing theatre with THX processing engaged as can be achieved at the price points. So with THX on, you are hearing what the director heard when he approved the sound mix for the cinema.
This is in no way should stop you going with what sounds best to you, but you should bear in mind the above.
Also, THX discs are mastered with a raised HF output in the front LCR channels. Usually non-THX discs won't have this. Check the packaging for best results. :D~:-D~:grin:
