View Full Version : Component cable recommendation
21-08-2004, 07:21 AM
My brother is of to Sevenoakes this morning to buy a component cable, can anyone out there recommend a good cable from this store.
He will be there this morning waiting for the place to open so any quick replies would be appreciated.
Ideally some Scorpion Cables but if he needs some today then why not just buy some cheap and cheerful ones to get up and running and then order some proper ones later on?

I did tell him about Scorpion, but as they would need to ordered and he needs them today we need to find something else.
It seems that once this has been installed the cables will not be easily accessible, so what he buys now will probably stay, do you have any other recommendations?
Cheers for the reply
Depends on his budget. Chord cables are excellent but pricey. IXOS are also pretty good as are QED. :)~:-)~

Monster do a very good 2CV (nothing to do with the car!!) component cable.
I will give you a tip though - seperate each cable, so you have three seperate cables and plait them together. This slightly improves the picture quality and is easier to use in tight spaces!! :)~:-)~

Hi Kamin - thanks for the reply
He has now got a cable from Sevenoakes, something that they knocked up in store as they where out of stock of pretty much everything! :( It seems to be good quality and was indeed 3 separate cables plaited together, the picture really is good on dvd using proggresive  , sky is fairly good, though terresteral tv is not so good.
