Hi i`m about to buy some better speaker cables, at the moment i have fairly cheap bi wire cable running my mordaunt short 208`s from my Yamaha dsp 640 on the A and B speaker outputs. What i would like to know is would i be better running as i am with better cable or would i be better off running it just from the A speaker outputs and running a jumper cable on the speakers or would it not make much difference thanks Don..

Chances are, you will only notice a difference when using completely different cables in either single-wire or bi-wire forms. Most people agree that, in most cases, better quality single wire has the better chance of sounding better than if using lesser quality bi-wire.
Of course, there are others who dismiss bi-wire as simply a cynical way to increase cables sales.
The best thing to do, if you can, is borrow some cables from a dealer and see what works best in your syste,
Using the same single wire speaker cable as jumpers rather than using any metal links will often offer subtle improvements though, and is virtually a free upgrade.

Thanks Juboy i was wondering more from the amp end if it would make much difference as i`m not sure how the A and B selectors are divided. Don..
