Watched all four seasons and whilst Season 1 still remains in a league of its own the second, third and fourth were still pretty damn good.
Series four has had some of the funniest moments in I've ever seen on television - I just laugh myself silly whenever I think about Ruth's new husband.

you should get that seen to
I don't think it is a good as it used to be, saying that S4 was a big improvement on S3. The 'Where's My Dog or That's My Dog' episode in S4 was one of the best.
The early episodes did heavily feature that week's death now they rarely feature at all in the episode.

The funniest lines of dialogue I've heard in television for many many years...
To set the scene...
Ruth walks into the in-house office late at night, asking her new husband what he's doing up so late. He's sat in front of a computer scribbling something away on paper and occasionally glancing up at the screen. On the screen we see an hourglass slowly letting sand through. Ruth and her husband are discussing the significance of the hourglass, and her husband is attempting to iterate that, because of a water shortage, it signifies when the world is going to end....
Ruth: "No, dear, that's not telling you when the world's going to end, it's just somebody's opinion."
Husband: "It's not an opinion Ruth, it's a scientific hypothesis"
Absolutely fantastic line

I really enjoyed this season of SFU.
It's had a much lighter feel overall, though obviously still dark at times.
The fact that less attention has been paid to deaths and the funerals has almost made me forget the show is based around an undertakers.
Fair enough finishing with next season, all things come to an end, but we'll miss it ( that's my wife and I , it's not that I have a split personality like Thatcher's " we are a grand-mother " :)~:-)~ ) .
Isn't it strange that we are frightened that top shows such as SFU, The Sopranos, E.R., The Shield, Boomtown and so on will run out of ideas whilst most of our tv schedules are filled with mind numbingly poor soaps. 8)~8-)~
