Yep, 24 season 4 is just about to be aired in the states in January, no idea when the uk will get it, hope it's real soon.

I have just watched seasons 1, 2, and 3 back to back and hope the BBC get the rights for season 4, if not I will wait for the DVD to come out as Sky will ruin it with their adverts. :x~:-x~

Links to teaser trailers below, some may contain spoilers.

The teaser they aired on TV actually used a bunch of stuff from S3 for some reason. I won't be clicking these links to find out if that's still the case :D~:-D~

That said, it turns out Season 4 is going to be slightly more conventional (as in, less of a departure from the first 3 seasons) than I first thought. Should be interesting

For those who are waiting for the fourth season will not have to wait long, Sky One will be showing 24 season 4 from the 30th Jan 2005 @ 9pm, there will be a two hour special to kick season 4 off.

I said I wouldn't watch it on Sky cos of adverts and the week long wait between episodes, but now I don't know if I can wait for the dvd box set to come out. :?~:-?~:???:

I hadn't until mid September when, on a whim, I bought the three series box set. Thoroughly recommend it.

Series 1 has the most blatent &quot;camera or equipment visible&quot; goof that I've ever seen. I'm not sure whether it's just because I have the whole picture showing, and not a crop, but a cameraman is very visibly in shot and filming for about 5 seconds.

Muslims Upset by '24'

An American-Islamic group has blasted the makers of Kiefer Sutherland's hit TV drama 24 after learning the first episode of the new season portrays a Muslim family as terrorists. Officials at the Council on American-Islamic Relations were made aware of the controversial episode after upset Muslims got hold of a promotional preview of the show, which airs next week. The council's spokeswoman Rabiah Ahmed says she's particularly disturbed by one scene, in which an American-Muslim teenager plots to kill Americans. She adds, &quot; It casts a cloud of suspicion over every American Muslim family out there.&quot; Bosses at TV network Fox, who air the show, have yet to counter the comments.

As far as I can tell it is an extra 10mins that was added on the R1 DVD, <table border="0" align="center" width="90%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td class="SmallText">Quote:</td></tr><tr><td class="quote">
As mentioned by *******, it's 6 minuets of in-between-seasons footage to set the scene for Season 4. It has about 30 seconds (Jack in the car) of Season 3 in it, but that is it.

To be honest I didn't think much of the opening two episodes.

<div class="dashed" style="padding: 3px;" align="center" width="100%">Reveal Spoiler (javascript://)<div align="left" id="1762393264601081864" style="visibility: hidden;">To me it was like how can we get him back to CTU from his new job as quickly as possible and start http://www.avtalk.co.uk/forum/images/smiley_icons/censored.gifing people off and breaking rules again. So they decided &quot; I know in the first 15 minutes lets make him go there for a meeting to sort out a financial budget.&quot; It all just seemed rushed to me :S. I think it would have played better if he handn't gone to CTU but Maybe gone with James Heller to visit his son and got injured when James Heller and Audrey Heller got kidnapped. It definitely needed that second hour to get you into it.

It does look like it is heading for another similar type of story though - although that is what CTU does (at least in this fiction), i am just hoping a 4th season of the same isnt too much.

<div class="dashed" style="padding: 3px;" align="center" width="100%">Reveal Spoiler (javascript://)<div align="left" id="1879152769793577526" style="visibility: hidden;">I didnt like the video sent out on the internet, it seemed just a bit too much like the ones you see in iraq for some random bloke - you would think this 5 year terrorist plan would have come up with something better/different for the secretary of state.

I also didnt like the first scene with the hacker, maybe its just the techie in me but the way a window popped up with a load of hex numbers in it and he knew what it was didnt seem right - and the lines him and his friend said, something like 'someone is attacking the internet' </div></div>

That woman in charge, whatever her name is, is annoying me already. She reminds me of my boss in a way, making everyone work on the new top priority thing which changes every five minutes and forgetting about everything else :)~:-)~

Yes she is very annoying.

I have just caught up on the first three episodes last night. Looks good so far.

I didn't think it was that great - seemed to be lots of filler. The speech with applause before it - what was all that about? It was a better episode than previously, but the formula seems a bit worn in - and back out again - now. Rumour had it that they were breaking the mould with S4. Maybe they will...

Thats why I have been soooo disappointed with the series so far. After 4 episodes though I must have forgotten that he actually left CTU and that this series was meant to be different so just enjoyed it for what it was a good episode of 24.

Any experts in nuclear plants control systems? Madge maybe?

Surely they'd have the means to prevent this at the plants themselves? and if this override thing really is powerful enough to do this why was a single man on a train carrying it? Seems a bit far fetched to me. These CTU geeks seem to need to know how to do everything dont they? a must have worked at a nuclear plant before :)~:-)~

The temp girl in CTU, the mole, is annoying me - and so are all the adverts.

It was definitely a filler episode; I have taken to watching them every 3 weeks or so in a batch, far more enjoyable.

As for the son I think his major doubts come after his dad tried to kill him, understandable to a certain degree, you would think

I certainly think this is much better than last season

The real time aspect has gone out the window mind you

this really is picking up speed now, and I'm really enjoying it, after I found the first 5 pretty dull.

I like the characters now, especially the big chap working at CTU.

and I thought my management were a pain in the arse.

and where else would a washed-up drunk with dodgey taste in women be asked back to work a bit of consultancy with their gun?

.

You really do need to watch it as any write up does not give it enough impact. If you have seen or heard of Sugar Rush (current lesbian show on C4/E4) it make this look like a after school childrens show. If you are just after a good look at Mia Kirshner I suggest any episode in the second half of series 1 . Mia Kirshner is also naked in the title scequence of the second series .

I don't like Sugar Rush, I saw the first one and thought it was crap. I then found out it was written by that nutter who did the programme on SKY 1 defending Chav culture.

It has actually gotten better. Well I will watch mostly anything on t.v . I would say watch it as it's only 2 seasons of 13 episode. If you just watch the first series and don't like it, you have not wasted alot of time. Although even if you don't like the story you should like the action in it. I would not mention it to your mates what you have been watching before going to the pub though

Saw the first half of Season 1; I quite like it. Bit too much drama and not enough comedy.

There is enough action to keep me happy though, Mandy is really nice and she certainly is not shy.

The one thing I am finding annoying is trying to remember where I have seen them all from.
