Default Best Integrated Amp for £600 - £700

Dear All,

I have been out of the AV game for a while since having three kids! Someone then asked me what integrated Surround Amp they could get for £600 - £700 and realised that I had absolutely no idea!

However, I know a place where people do!

So - for a sorround sound amp for a max of £700 - where would you recommend he looks?

Thanks in advance,

Brad

Personally, I'd look for something second hand like a Denon 4808.

I'd stick with Denon for a new one too but obviously a much lower model.

Unless Airplay is of huge importance (you can add it for £89 anyway), the older Denons are pretty much the same as the newer ones with different gimmicks and different model numbers.

My money would go on one of the new network av receivers, so that you can stream music files as well as do surround sound in your home cinema, the new Onkyo TX-NR616 looks particulary fine value.
