I have just carefully watched all the credits and found no clue. Did you see something in the credits which I did not?

Sorry, I was kidding about the credits.

However, I watched it last night as I love the film and I think the 3 burials are as follows:

*Spoiler Alert*

1. Norton (Barry Pepper) shoots and then hurriedly buries him.
2. The Sheriffs office find him and re bury him in a local cemetery.
3. Perkins and Norton bury him in 'The Beautiful Place' at the end of the film'

Thank you Richard. No doubt you are correct. I had thought that the body was first located on the surface, with a wolf "tucking in". I probably overlooked the presumed fact that the body had been buried.

I know what you mean but I guess Tommy Lee counts that as the first one.

Not sure why I put my answer above in spoilers - I guess the title of the film pretty much gives it away!
